Roman Flügel is one of the biggest names in the German dance scene and you can catch him at our party for a very rare stateside appearance here in New York. If you haven't heard DJ yet, you are in for a treat. Simply put, Roman Flügel is hands down one of the best DJ's in the business. He co-founded the very popular Ongaku and Klang record labels. One that everyone can relate to is the powerhouse Playhouse label which is definitely has been a label that has been a big inspiration for us at Blkmarket Membership. It's his label which Ricardo Villalobos released his critically acclaimed Alcachofa album on. It's his label that is also home to artists such as Isolee, LoSoul, Rework and Spektrum just to name a few. A man with many faces, Roman has produced under many aliases such as Sensorama, Acid Jesus, Eight Miles High, Soylent Green and Roman IV. Along with partner Jörn Elling Wuttke, they are known as the very popular live show duo called Alter Ego. They can be arguably considered as one of the major German dance acts in this scene. Some top dates have included Tribal Gathering Festival (UK), Sonar Festival (Spain), Time Warp Festival (Germany), I Love Techno (Belgium) and Wire Festival (Japan). We highly recommend that you do not miss out on catching Roman Flügel, so get ready of a very special EXTENDED SET by the man himself. In 2009 a series of five anonymously produced ink stamped vinyl recorded releases appeared in the global techno scene under the mysterious guise “Traversable Wormhole." Within a month’s time of it’s conception Volume 2 of the series appeared and a huge buzz was soon amassed on the project. Accusations on who was the artist behind the project ran wild. People all over the techno scene had made theories to who was behind it. Word traveled fast through the wormhole and it was soon reported that globally respected dj’s such as Chris Liebing, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Mathew Herbert, Ryan Elliot, Andrew Galluzi, Surgeon, Function, Frankie Bones, Surgeon, DJ Deep & Radioslave were all supporting the sound of TW. As the series transgressed to Vol 5 by the year end of 2009 the mystique of anonymity continued to grow.

To usher in the very start of 2010 “Traversable Wormhole” would release the sixth volume of the series. At the same time 20 year veteran techno artist/dj Adam X originally from NYC and now residing in Berlin was invited to partake in a feature called “Playing Favorites” on “Resident Advisor” the worlds biggest electronic music website. As Adam’s feature read towards the end he subtly took claim as the producer behind “Traversable Wormhole”.

Currently “Traversable Wormhole” has found itself remixed from some of the best in the scene. The remix packages are being released on Chris Leibing's CLR label and artists such as Surgeon, Marcel Dettmann, Sleeparchive, Function, Chris Liebing, James Ruskin, Peter Van Hoesen, Terence Fixmer, Kevin Gorman, Tommy Four Seven & Brian Sanhaji have all taken a turn in remixing TW.

Its been a big past 2 years for Adam and we are excited to have him perform for us as Traversable Wormhole Live.
